Abstract

The theoretical analysis of parallel electrode processes under conditions when the product of one of the reactions is involved in a homogeneous reaction with a reactant of the other is presented. As a result the limiting current of the second reaction depends on the current of the first: an effect which was called hidden limiting current" by Kemula and Grabowski. The analytical and numerical calculations performed cover a wide range of parameters of the problem. The results of Kemula and Grahowski are used in the particular case of the limit of an infinitely high rate constant for the homogeneous reaction.
